Schedule of Adult Officiating Clinics

Clubs/Teams, please set your clinic dates and sites early and let us know.

For the Region Referee/Scorekeeping Clinics, pre-registration is REQUIRED. You must submit your pre-registration information at least ONE (1) WEEK before the clinic. Pre-registration will be cut off ONE WEEK before the clinic so we will have a good count of the number of participants and can provide enough clinicians and tests. No pre-registrations will be accepted less than ONE WEEK before the clinic unless their is adequate space/clinicians available. The clinic is free for those that pre-register. There will be a $10 charge at the door for those that do not pre-register, and they will only be allowed to participate if there is space available. Go here to pre-register (preferred!) or send an email at least ONE WEEK in advance of the clinic to Officials Program Director with your Name, Teamname, email, and clinic attending. We must have individual names in order to pre-register you. Please bring a pen/pencil and paper for note-taking. AGAIN for 2008/2009 - the RE-CERT Officials Clinic will be available online (you can finish clinic and testing as part of same clinic if you are a TEAM official). 2008/2009 CLINIC INFORMATION:

• Saturday, November 15, 2008 - Region-sponsored Adult Officiating Clinic - SITE: Triangle Volleyball Club (Morrisville). Re-cert clinic at 9 am - 12 noon. Full clinic at 1 pm - 6 pm. Check-in begins 30 minutes before the start of each session.
• Saturday, December 20, 2008 - Region-sponsored Adult Officiating Clinic - SITE: Greensboro SportsPlex. Re-cert clinic at 9 am - 12 noon. Full clinic at 1 pm - 6 pm. Check-in begins 30 minutes before the start of each session.
• Sunday, January 11, 2009 - Region-sponsored National USA Volleyball Officiating Clinic - SITE: Barber Park, Greensboro. 1 pm - ? pm. Check-in begins at 12:30 pm. $20 fee payable to Carolina Region (this is a USAV Officials Division fee). This is the new USAV program to have the clinic for National rated officials before the season. If Nationally certified officials attend this clinic, they will not have to attend a clinic before either the US Open or Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships. This clinic is open to all officials, however. We encourage any officials interested to attend.
• Teams/Clubs may also choose to Host Your Own Clinic on a date and time of their choosing. Please read before setting up your clinic.

RATING OPPORTUNITIES:

• November 22, 2008 - Site TBA in Jacksonville. Rating opportunity for NEW professional officials and adult team officials to become certified for 2008/2009 season. Additional details (i.e. times) will be posted when known.
• November 22, 2008 - Site: Greensboro SportsPlex. Rating opportunity for Veteran professional officials and adult team officials to become certified for 2008/2009 season. Additional details (i.e. times) will be posted when known.
• November 29, 2008 - Site: Greensboro SportsPlex. Rating opportunity for Veteran professional officials and adult team officials to become certified for 2008/2009 season. Additional details (i.e. times) will be posted when known.
• December 14, 2008 - Statesville High School. Rating opportunity for NEW professional officials and adult team officials to become certified for 2008/2009 season. Additional details (i.e. times) will be posted when known.
